The Neosho Lady Wildcats snapped a losing streak on Tuesday as they went on the road and thumped Branson 4-0 in the first of four-straight Central Ozark Conference Large Division games.
The Lady Wildcats (4-9-1) scored their first goal of the game at the 14:42 mark when senior Tori Eads scored on an assist from Darcy Moses to make it 1-0. Karina Barambayeva later scored at the 20:31 mark on an assist from Haley Long to make it 2-0.
For good measure, perhaps, the Lady Wildcats found the net for a third time less than seven minutes later when Kaileigh Thomlinson booted a goal off an assist from Paige O’Neill to make it 3-0 at the 26:56 mark.
The Lady Wildcats scored again on their last shot of the game, an unassisted goal by Macy Smith at 76:03. Neosho fired 13 shots on goal and held the Lady Pirates to four.
Neosho keeper Matty Liedtke had four saves.
“(It was) nice to score again,” Wildcats coach Steve Schnackenberg said. “(The) girls played well tonight. We have four conference games in a row and it’s good to start off with a win.”
Branson B topped Neosho 1-0.
