Pauline Harvel, 94, Seneca, entered into rest on April 28, 2013, at Seneca House, Seneca, following a lengthy illness.
Pauline was born on Nov. 2, 1918, in Goodman, to Arthur Lee and Florence (Friend) Mitchell. She was a lifelong area resident and was a homemaker. She was a member of Newton County Historical Society and volunteered at Benton School as a teacher's aide. She loved quilting and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Pauline married James M. Harvel, on Jan. 10, 1934, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1981. She is survived by her children; James R. Harvel and wife, Norma of Neosho, Tom Harvel and wife, Linda of Neosho; three grandchildren, Paul Harvel and wife, Renee, Justin Harvel and wife, Amanda, and Tammy Ebbinghaus and husband, Todd; six great-grandchildren: Gracie Hughes, Colton and Gage Harvel, Lane, Maddie, and Will Ebbinghaus; sister; Audrey Coons and husband, Harry of Lexington, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home Chapel Of Memories, Neosho, Rev. Matthew Prihoda officiating. Interment will be in Gibson Cemetery, Neosho. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Clark Funeral Home Neosho.
