  • Diamond sophomore Maghen Dresslaer went from near the bottom of the standings to the very top in one throw on Tuesday, and that throw of 88'7 crowned her Spring River Valley Conference champion in the discus.
    Meanwhile, sophomore Kalyn Martin set a personal record and grabbed silver medals in both the 800 and 1600 run with a time of 2:34.98 and 5:49.99 in the 1600 behind three-time state qualifier Savannah Beaver of College Heights.
    On the boys' side Janzen White set personal records in the 110 hurdles (fifth place) in 18.66 and the 300 hurdles (sixth) in 46.29. White, Kaden Peterson, Ty Williams and Nick Stephens took fourth in the 4x100 relay and fifth in the 4x200.
    Logan Hopper ran a personal best of almost 20 seconds in the 3200 (5:36). Stephens ran the same race in 5:35, while Ty Williams ran the 100 run in 12.45, also a personal record.
    The Wildcats are back in action at the district meet in Lamar, Mo., on Saturday.
