Nine walks and four errors plagued the Neosho Wildcats on Monday as they fell to Rogers Heritage (Ark.) 19-8 at Roy Shaver Stadium.
Kacy Murphy crushed a home run and finished with two hits and three RBIs to lead the War Eagles to victory. Colton Wetzler finished with three hits and also had three RBIs in the win.
The War Eagles wasted no time in taking control as they scored eight runs in the first, five in the second and two in the third to take a 15-0 lead. The Wildcats answered with two runs in the fourth and six in the fifth behind a grand slam from Tyler Johnson.
Two more runs in the top of the sixth capped the scoring and the win for the War Eagles.
Johnson finished with two hits and four RBIs to lead Neosho's offense, while Wayde Hartman, Trey Turner, Brendan Craig, Kody Kelly, Jayce Parmley and Kyler Finley had a hit apiece for the Wildcats. Craig, Parmley, Finley and Hartman also had an RBI apiece.
