  • A total of six Seneca Indians landed on the Big 8 Conference all-conference team, not including head coach Chris Yust, who was named Coach of the Year.

  • A total of six Seneca Indians landed on the Big 8 Conference all-conference team, not including head coach Chris Yust, who was named Coach of the Year.
    Meanwhile, three East Newton Patriots were also part of the list.
    First-teamers for the Indians are pitchers Colton Webber (sr.) and Payton Rawlins (jr.), along with third baseman Dalan Merriman (jr.) and shortstop Marty Mailes (sr.).
    Webber was also a unanimous selection in the outfield, while Cade Cornett (sr.) made the list as a utility player.
    Webber also earned Player of the Year honors, while Merriman made the second team at pitcher and Rawlins was second team at first base. Kyler Ng (sr.) was also a second team selection in the outfield.
    East Newton’s Dylan Bunch (sr.) was the lone first team selection for the Patriots in the outfield, while Rocky Liveaok (jr.) landed on the second team at catcher. Sam Swartz (soph.) was honorable mention as a pitcher and shortstop.
