  • Ronnie E. Boman, 70, Neosho, died May 15, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a lengthy illness.
    Ronnie was born May 24, 1942, in western Newton County, and was a lifelong area resident. He had worked at Teledyne, FAG Bearing, was a school bus driver for the Neosho public schools, currently working as an aide and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho.
    Ronnie married Shirley Jane McAlister on Dec. 17, 1965, in Neosho and she preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2010.
    He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Boman, Neosho; and a son, Donald Boman and fiancé, Angila, Fairland, Okla.; three granddaughters, Dimetra 'Meter,' Keely and Vanessa; four sisters, Doris, Verna, Rosa and Nina; and his mother-in-law, Gladys McAlister, Neosho.
    Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Oakwood Cemetery, Rev. Roger Brumley and Brother Sam Turner will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Kirkpatrick, Bill Kiel, Tom Workman, Jim Brown, Rick Adler and Dave Carter. The Sojourners Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
    Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
    Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
