  • Four Diamond Wildcats and their coach have been named to the Spring River Valley Conference all-conference teams this week.
    At the top of the list is coach Nathan Cook, who was named SRVC Coach of the Year after leading his Wildcats to a 17-7 record after making it to the Class 3, District 11 semifinals.
    On the players side, Ryan Jinks earned first team all-conference at two positions for the Wildcats, while Jordan Divine, Jordan Douglas and Zach Renfro earned second team accolades.
    Jinks, a senior, made the team as both a pitcher and infielder. On the mound, the righty went 4-3 with a 2.12 ERA with 51 strikeouts and 18 walks in 39 2/3 innings. At the plate, he had a .458 average with eight doubles, five home runs and 26 RBIs.
    Divine, a junior, earned second team honors as a pitcher after going 6-0 with a 2.69 ERA with 47 strikeouts and 16 walks in 39 innings. Douglas, meanwhile, made the team as an infielder, where the senior hit .383 with seven doubles and 14 RBIs.
    Renfro, a junior, earned his selection in the outfield by hitting .311 with six doubles, two homers and 22 RBIs.
