Howard C. Wright passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at his home in Neosho after a short illness.
Howard was born Aug. 11, 1930, in Detroit, Mich. He joined the U.S. Army in 1948, serving in Japan and Korea. He earned the Japan Occupation Medal, the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Campaign Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Republic of Korea Distinguished Unit Emblem, and the Bronze Star. Howard moved to Neosho in the early 1970s, working in construction.
Howard was predeceased by long-time companion, Cavna Rubottom in 2010.
He is survived by David Wright, Jerome, Mich., Suzan Sullivan, Grand Junction, Colo., Mark Rubottom, Neosho, Seretta Nicklas, Overland Park, Kan., Erik Wright, Neosho, Leigh Lindstrom, Yuma, Ariz., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many devoted friends.
Cremation services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
