Madeleine Sexton, reporter for the News Dispatch, spent last Tuesday morning with the hatchery. She worked side by side with the biologists cleaning raceways and moving fish to see what a day at the hatchery is like.

Bob Goforth of Neosho was on hand last week sprucing up the various cement fish on the hatchery grounds as he has done for many years. These fish delight young visitors and serve as subjects for many souvenir photos taken at the hatchery. Mr. Goforth's artistic contributions are much appreciated.

Long distance visitors of the week are the Bell family from Wasilla, Alaska, and the Steddum family from Honolulu, Hawaii. Local visitor of the week is Todd Stansell here for the "class of 1983" reunion. He recalled spending a day here at Hearrell spring when he skipped school in the fifth grade with a buddy. Eventually, he was spotted by classmates at the old Benton School. The classmates did not remain quiet about the sighting.
Janice Eaton is the automation clerk at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery.
