    The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is back on track after construction was stalled due to a funding dispute and flooding from Superstorm Sandy. Although the museum site was flooded with 22 million gallons of water, the artifacts were spared damage. The museum is set for a spring 2014 opening.

Police Officer James Hamm, talking about the death of an 8-year-old boy who accidentally was run over by his father during a Fourth of July parade Thursday. The father, who was driving a parade float, did not realize his son had fallen off of it.
