Betty Workman, 84, Neosho, entered into rest on July 4, 2013.
She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Huron, S.D., to Irving and Harriett (McKenzie) Gifford.
Betty moved to Neosho from Denver, Colo., in 1961. She worked as a secretary at Ozark Christian Academy and retired in 2007. She was a member of the Bible Holiness Assembly of God.
Betty married George Edward Workman on Feb. 11, 1956, in Denver, Colo. and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1986.
She is survived by her children; Barbara Burton, Neosho, LeeRoy Adams (Cindy), Oronogo, Mel Adams, Neosho, Mike Workman (Sheila), Neosho, Tom Workman (Kasie), Neosho, Mel Workman (Pat), Traverse City, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers, Gene Gifford, Siloam Springs, Ark., Mel Gifford (Nancy), Littleton, Colo.; sisters, Rozena Rudnik (Carl Barton), Tahlequah, Okla., Sharon Longman (Gene Duke), Joplin; brother-in-law, Frank McCoy, Thornton, Colo.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Paul Adams, Jr.; sister, Ellen McCoy; sister-in-law, Lois Gifford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Bible Holiness, Neosho; Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery, Neosho. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
