  • George Ann Hulsey, 84, Claremore, Okla., formerly of Neosho, died July 8, 2013, at a Claremore nursing home following two years of failing health.

  • George Ann Hulsey, 84, Claremore, Okla., formerly of Neosho, died July 8, 2013, at a Claremore nursing home following two years of failing health. 
    George Ann was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Carterville, the daughter of Curtis Lee and Katherine (Watkins) Hulsey. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1947 and worked as store manager of Davis Paints and McKean’s Paint and Hallmark Store, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and had served as Sunday School secretary for more than 25 years. She moved to Claremore in August 2011 due to failing health.  
    George Ann is survived by a sister, Erma Hulsey, Claremore; a brother, Bill Hulsey and wife, Loydene, Neosho; sister-in-law, Lenna Hulsey, Neosho; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jack Hulsey and Bob Hulsey; and a nephew, Roger Hulsey. 
    Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Neosho IOOF Cemetery, Pastor Larry Shumaker will officiate. Following the graveside services, the family will receive friends at Northside Baptist Church Fellowship Hall until 1 p.m. 
    Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday the casket will be closed at all times.
