  • Two Seneca Indians earn all-state nod

  • SENECA — After leading their team to a conference and district championship this season, a pair of Seneca Indians standouts have been selected to the all-state baseball team. A group of media members from across the state helped select the all-state baseball squad.
    Representing the Indians at the designated hitter/utility position on the first-team is senior Colton Webber. As both a pitcher and outfielder this season, Webber hit .390 with a .560 on base percentage while slugging .611. The lefty had 28 hits, six doubles, two triples and two home runs while stealing 20 bases. He walked 26 times while scoring 34 runs with 25 RBIs and didn't commit a defensive error.
    On the mound Webber went 8-1 overall with a 3.52 ERA in 11 games with 70 strikeouts over 57 innings pitched.
    Rawlins, a junior, made the second team at designated hitter/utility. The infielder/pitcher hit a robust .423 with a .515 OBP and slugged .731. He had 33 hits, nine doubles, three triples, three homers, and scored 28 runs and finished with 34 RBIs. On the mound he went 6-2 with two saves in 12 appearances, including 57 strikeouts in 51 innings with a 2.71 ERA.
