Bonnie Ivylene (King) Greer Schlegel, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2013.
She passed away in the Tablerock Healthcare Center, Kimberling City, Mo., at the age of 84.
Bonnie was born June 8, 1929, to E. Glen and Nina (Baumgarner) King. She graduated from Marshfield High School and earned her teaching certificate at Southwest Bible College. She taught many of her brothers and sisters in a one room schoolhouse.
She married Robert Gene Greer on Oct. 15, 1948, and together had five children.
Bonnie loved teaching, singing and family. Bob and Bonnie moved to Granby, in the early 1960s and were members of the First Baptist Church. She was active in choir, Sunday school and the WMU.
After Bob’s death, Bonnie moved to Lampe, Mo., where she met and married Bill Schlegel. They were active members of the Lampe First Baptist Church and choir.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; her first born daughter, Justena Von Greer; brothers, Don King and Bob King; and a sister, Connie Mahan.
She is survived by her children, Pam Tyler and her husband, Lyle, Cathy Smith and her husband, Jeff, Chris Akey, and Robert Huston Greer; grandchildren, Lindsey Robisheaux and her husband, Britt, Bill Smith, and Lauren Smith; a stepdaughter, Kara Simms and her husband, Andy, and their children, Tyler and Tawny; her sisters, Twila Davis, Hilma Silvey, and Nina McKee; and a brother, Karl King.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will be in the Mission Home Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today in the funeral home.
