  • Wanda L. Marble Matters, 91, Springfield, formerly of Neosho, died July 20, 2013 in Springfield, following a two-month illness.
    Wanda was born Jan. 9, 1922 in Neosho, the daughter of Paul and Myrtle (Krueger) Hays. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1939 and had worked as bank teller at the Bank of Neosho. She was a former member of the Neosho First Presbyterian Church, where she had served as an elder and currently was a member of the First Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
    Wanda married Leon Marble in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1967. In 1969, she married Kenneth Matters, who preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by a son, Ed Marble and wife, Tina of Springfield; two grandsons, Max Marble and wife, Sandy of Tampa, Fla. and Jeffrey Marble of Springfield; great-grandson, William Marble of Tampa, Fla. and a sister, Bobbie Ann Mohler of Oakland, Calif. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nita Jo Selby.
    Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Neosho, Pastor Rich Williams will officiate.
    Following the memorial service, the family will receive friends at the church until 4 p.m. Contributions in memory of Wanda may be made to the Multiple Scleroses Association, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
    Service arrangements are under the directions of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
