Shirley Ray Richter, 80, Seneca, died July 31, 2013, at his daughter's home in Neosho, following an illness.
Shirley was born July 16, 1933, in Fairview, Okla., and had lived in the area the past 35 years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a 20 year veteran, having served in the Korean War. He worked as a diesel mechanic for an automobile dealership and concrete company.
Shirley married Phyllis Blandi, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by six children, Charles Ray Richter and wife, Kathy, Jim Tucker and wife, Kristi, Sue Dillmon and husband, Bob, Corinne Barker and husband, Joe, Kathy Farmer and husband, Donald and Lee Radcliff and husband, George; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Tucker.
Military graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Memorial Park Cemetery, south of Neosho, Rev. Bob Wilkie will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Dillmon, Jim Tucker, George Radcliff, Glenn Radcliff, Charles Richter and Nick Tucker.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today.
