  • Tillie Jean Jamison passed away July 31, 2013, in Mt. Vernon, Mo.
    Tillie was born on April 11, 1953 in Alma, Ark. Her parents, Roland L. Brown (living) and Katherine I. Brown (preceded in death). After graduating high school, Tillie joined the Air Force as a diesel mechanic, after serving four years, she later became one of the first women truck drivers in the country.
    She was a long haul truck driver allowing her to see a lot of the county. After years of truck driving, she then started teaching others how to drive semi-trucks at Crowder College in Neosho. Tillie had lived all over in Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, and last resided in Missouri.
    Till is survived by her only child, Rhanda Andrews, with her husband Jerod Andrews. She also has three living brothers, Carl, Roger, and Freddie Brown.
    Till was a mother, sister, daughter, a great friend, and will be greatly missed by all.
    A memorial will be held from 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Church at the corner of Jaguar and AA in Neosho.
    Cremation arrangements are under the directions of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
