  • The Crowder soccer team remains unblemished this season after blanking Hesston Community College 3-0 on Saturday.
Just like the season opener on Thursday, the Roughriders scored their goals in the first half and never looked back.
Daniel Collins got Crowder on the board when he scored on a penalty kick 15 minutes into the game to make it 1-0. Freshman Kenlley Leyendickers (Quincy, Ill.) got into the mix on the final two goals, dishing out assists on both as Joplin High School products Brantley Gossett and Joe Rice, both freshmen, scored in the 19th and 30th minute, respectively.
Gustav Kennestig pitched the shutout in goal for the Roughriders, recording one save. The Roughriders (2-0) fired 11 shots on goal. They’ll be on the road again Tuesday for a 7 p.m. showdown at Coffeyville Community College.
