The Neosho boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Shiloh Christian Invitational at Shiloh Christian High School in Springdale on Saturday.
The Neosho boys finished with two medalists and took third overall as a team while the girls had one medalist out of four competitors.
On the boys side, Chance Burr and Carter Hickman placed fourth and fifth, respectively, to earn a medal. Burr ran in 18:35 while Hickman crossed the line two seconds behind him.
Other places for the boys’ team was: 19. Cole Bishop 19:46. 24. Kobi Miller 20:03. 34. Thomas Vernon 21:11. 46. Cameron Aguillion-Langley 21:44. 47. Joby Paul 21:54. 54. Kris Avendano 22:17. 60. Jacob Lett 22:43. 68. Tyler Burr 23:51. 79. Christian King 26:53. 80. Jordan Wirth 27:18.
Fayetteville, Ark., took first place on the boys’ side.
For the girls, Neosho’s Sydney Anderson took sixth place and medaled with a time of 22:26. Ann Vernon took 16th place with a time of 23:54. Katelyn Lowe came in 34th in 26:53. Morgan Bishop finished 47th in 42:47.
With only four runners, the Lady Wildcats didn’t record a team score at the event.
