Charles A. Paternostro, Jr., passed into eternal life on Aug. 30, 2013, at his home in Neosho.
He was born Oct. 4, 1946, in Silver Springs, N.Y., and grew up in Farnham, N.Y., and had lived in Pierce City, for 32 years before moving to Neosho in 2003. Chuck retired from the United State Army and served in the Air Force, Navy Reserve, National Guard and most recently the 203rd of Joplin. He fought a gallant battle against cancer, never losing his sense of humor, known by all who crossed his path. He cherished the times shared with his family and enjoyed wood working, music, travel and was a voracious reader.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary Horine; children, Charles Paternostro III and wife, Rebecca, Pierce City, Mandi McLaughlin, Neosho, Sarah Paternostro and Jake Smith, Joplin, and Tony Paternostro and wife, Janetta, Monett; five grandchildren, Bryce Logan, Brok Logan, Rileigh Paternostro, Vinny Smith and Blake Paternostro; a brother, Sabin Paternostro and wife, Glenda, Monett; the mother of his children, Patti Ireland, Wentworth; aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Paternostro, Sr.; his mother, Earlene (Bowen) Paternostro; twin baby sons, aunts and uncles.
Memorial visitation services will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Chuck’s memory to Crowder College Foundation, Missouri National Guard’s 203rd ‘Houn Dawg’ Retiree Association or a charity of choice, would be appreciated, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O.
