Unfortunately for the Carthage Lady Tigers, the schedule had them slated to do just that on Tuesday. The result? The Lady Mustangs dropped them 12-0, and moved to 7-0 on the young season.
    It was complete domination.
While watching the offense pound out 18 hits, Lady Mustangs’ starter Kali Hodson did nothing but whirl a complete game two-hitter with four walks and four strikeouts. She helped herself at the plate, too, with two doubles and an RBI.
She didn’t do this alone, however. Plenty of her teammates were willing to lend a hand in the victory.
The Lady Mustangs scored a run in the first, three in the second, two in the fourth, one in the sixth and five more for good measure in the seventh. Ashton Harmon, Kelsy Reynolds and Macie Jones each collected three hits, while Hodson, Coley Ickes and Sierra Clay had two hits. Rachel Brown, Stormy Christerson and Courtni Smith had a hit each.
Reynolds finished with three RBIs, while Harmon, Jones, Ickes and Brown had two. Jones and Reynolds both added a double, as well.
La Craig and Tyasha Morgan each had a hit for Carthage.
