A 50-year-old Granby man suffered critical injuries late Thursday morning in a truck versus motorcycle accident on Neosho Boulevard.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m., near the intersection of Waldo Hatler Drive and South Neosho Boulevard.

The unidentified male driver of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

Lt. David Kennedy, with the Neosho Police Department, said the white Dodge Ram truck was turning off of Waldo Hatler Drive, attempting to go northbound on Neosho Boulevard, and the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle was traveling southbound on the boulevard in the inside lane when the crash occurred.

Authorities from the Neosho Police Department, Newton County Sheriff's Office, Newton County Ambulance and Neosho Fire Department responded to the accident.

The accident blocked the two inside lanes of traffic, and southbound traffic was temporarily diverted through a nearby parking lot.
