Helen Bowler, 85, Neosho, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Freeman Neosho Hospital after a long illness.

Helen was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Granby, the 12th child of Tom and Florence Baker Long. She had lived in Neosho since 1945.

She was an excellent homemaker and was secretary/treasurer for CL Bowler, Inc. until her retirement in 1994. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother.

Helen married CL Bowler on June 12, 1945, in Girard, Kan. He survived at the home.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Tichenor, Neosho; a granddaughter, Tabitha Tichenor, Neosho; two sisters, Viola Rowe-Beatty, Neosho, Leta Juhl, Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews. Also her beloved pets, Holly, Rainbo and Penny.

Family visitation will be held at 2 p.m. today.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
