That's still sleeping." - Steven Harrod of the University of Dayton, talking after the train engineer in the New York train accident told investigators that he was “in a daze” before the accident. Four people were killed and 67 were injured.

    A man was killed in the waters off Hawaii this week, marking the 13th shark attack for the state this year. Hawaii averages about four attacks a year, but they have been way up this year. The man who was killed was fishing from a kayak when a shark bit one of his feet.
