Soroptimist International of Neosho will once again host the annual Christmas Homes Tour from 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to attend.

“We have four homes and then we will also be having refreshments at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery,” said Holly Mitchell, a member of the local Soroptimist.

The homes on the tour are at 322 S. Jefferson St., at 15531 Kentucky Rd., at 11095 Molly Lane and at 11074 Mica Lane. Tickets are $8 each or 2 for $15 if purchased before the tour day or they will be $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased from Newton County Title, Southwest Missouri Bank, Great Southern Bank, First Choice Chiropractic and New-Mac Electric.

This is a fundraiser for the group.

“We use all of the proceeds to give away to our scholarships to women and our awards to women in Neosho area,” she said.

As far as what people will see when they enter these four homes, Mitchell said, “they have all done really great job of decorating them with holiday decorations. I have heard several of the homeowners talking about all of the Christmas trees they have put up and the decorations they have put up. Several of them have worked with some of the area florists. I am sure that they will all be unique because that is how they have been in the past. Every person has a different flair and a different take on the holidays, they are all different.”

The event has been going on for about 15 years, except for last year when they had to cancel the event.

“We have had good attendance in the past,” Mitchell said.
