The City of Neosho was prepared Wednesday for possible inclement winter weather.
On hand and available for use as of Wednesday afternoon was approximately 450-500 tons of salt/gravel mix to spread on the streets in case of ice and snow. The city had recently ordered an extra 150 tons of salt, which was delivered.
The city’s snow removal fleet primarily consists of three dump trucks and two one-ton pickups, all equipped with plows and salt spreaders.
Neosho Public Works crews will be on call should this morning’s expected wintry mix arrive a little early.
Neosho City Hall will remain open regardless of weather conditions.
