  • Neosho junior high hoops splits with Ozark

  • Neosho’s eighth grade girls’ basketball team continued to roll this season with a pair of victories over Ozark on Tuesday at Neosho Middle School, while the seventh graders were swept by the Lady Tigers in a pair of games.

  • Neosho’s eighth grade girls’ basketball team continued to roll this season with a pair of victories over Ozark on Tuesday at Neosho Middle School, while the seventh graders were swept by the Lady Tigers in a pair of games.
    The eighth graders won the A game, 38-30. The Lady Wildcats received major contributions in the win by Allison Burr and Caitlyn Jordon, who scored 18 and 14 points, respectively. Ashley Talley and Makayla Hayes both netted three points for Neosho in the victory.
    Neosho’s B team also won, 30-25. Alyssa Sanders led the way for Neosho with eight points, while Amy Morris added six, Madi Hames five, Lyndsey Linny four, Emilee Anderson two, Tori Frazier two, Josi Rose two and Trista Sherrill one.
    The seventh grade girls dropped the A game, 45-18. Scorers for Neosho were: Alexus Hammack seven, Haven Pennington five and Gabee Rainwater, Mailia Hendricks and Breanna Slavens with two each.
    The B team fell 48-17. Slavens, Hendricks and Pennington each led the Lady Wildcats with four points, while Amber Shepherd and Amira Wheeler had two and Jada Twitchell finished with one point.
