Dorian Briggs had perhaps her best game of the season against North Arkansas on Thursday and carried her Crowder Lady ‘Riders to a convincing 92-65 victory.
North Arkansas never found a remedy for the sophomore Briggs, and she torched them for 29 points. The Lady ‘Riders came out hot on both ends of the floor and built a commanding 47-27 lead at halftime. They jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and never trailed in the game.
The win improved Crowder to 6-8 overall.
“We played very well from start to finish,” Lady ‘Riders coach Tina Robbins said. “It was a good game for us going into the break. We were focused and ready to play. I’m excited to see what the second semester holds for us.”
Courtney Jones finished with seven points for Crowder, while Tae’lor Monroe also had seven, Katie Hughes five, Tiffany Rhame nine, Lori Kleier nine, Ariana Gallegos six, Mariana Silva 12 and Thays Barbosa eight.
Jordan Cottengin led North Arkansas with 16 points, while Kaitlin Powell had 13, Bailey Boring three, Demi Hargrove two, Kodee Powell 15, Jamie Villimes eight, Ashley Martin two and Brooke Malone five.
The Lady ‘Riders are back in action Jan. 2 when they host Butler Community College at 6 p.m.
