  • ANDERSON — A six-month-old boy was abducted from his Anderson home Jan. 2, according to McDonald County authorities.
An Amber Alert was issued Friday evening for 6-month-old Mitchell Farris by the Anderson Police Department. The infant is a white male, and had been placed in the home with his great-grandfather by the Division of Family Services.
Authorities believe two people, Preston Wayne Farris, 34, and Anastasia Lynn McDaniel, 30, took the baby from his home at 10 Riverview Drive, Apt. No. 2 on Jan. 2. The two are believed to be the baby’s biological parents.
Preston Farris is 5-foot-10 and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. McDaniel is 5-foot-8 and weighs 172 pounds. She has blue eyes and strawberry blonde or red hair.
Authorities say the couple may be driving a red 2004 Ford Freestar with a Missouri license plate of UH7D2R.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the child or suspects is urged to call 911 immediately or the Anderson Police Department at 845-2681.
