  • Former Neosho High School standout Morgan Rathmann, now a freshman softball player at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo., is already carving a path as a standout student-athlete for the Lady Griffons.
Rathmann, a 5-foot-5 outfielder who finished at the top of her class academically at NHS, has continued to get it done in the classroom, as she earned a spot on the President’s Honor list at MWSU for the fall semester.
Rathmann, who was a four time all-district, four time all-conference and two time all-southwest Missouri on the diamond, while also being a four time academic all-stater with the Wildcats, maintained a 4.0 GPA this fall.
Rathmann will join a group of 170 other Griffon student-athletes who will be recognized for maintaining a 3.00 or higher GPA during halftime of the men’s basketball game on Saturday.
