  • Several hurt in area crashes

  • A Seligman, Mo., man sustained minor injuries when he swerved to miss a deer on a McDonald County roadway and overturned his Jeep in a ditch Monday.
    Todd T. McIntyre, 34, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark., for treatment.
    The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 2:05 p.m. Monday on Route KK, a half mile north of Jacket as McIntyre, northbound in a 1994 Jeep Wrangler, swerved to miss the deer. He ran into a ditch and overturned.
    McIntyre was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.

    A Neosho motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 5:10 p.m. Sunday on Missouri Highway 43, a half mile north of Tiff City.
    Larry Blaylock, 59, was taken by ambulance to Joplin’s Freeman West Hospital for treatment.
    The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened as Blaylock, northbound on a 2002 Harley Davidson, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off of the right side of the roadway and overturned.
    Blaylock was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.

    A Bentonville, Mo., motorcyclist sustained minor injuries in a crash that occurred at 5 p.m. Sunday on Missouri Highway 90, five miles east of Pineville.
    Corey N. Riggle, 35, was taken to Northwest Regional Hospital in Bentonville, Ark., for treatment.
    The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened as Riggle, westbound on a 2005 Genuine Stella minibike, was traveling too fast for conditions and skidded on loose gravel. The minibike overturned, ejecting Riggle.
    Riggle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.

    A Grove, Okla., man suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 12:05 a.m. Sunday on Route O, five miles north of Southwest City.
    Dennis A. Hollingsworth, 34, was taken to Joplin’s Freeman West Hospital for treatment.
    The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened as a westbound 1999 Ford F150 ran off of the roadway and struck a tree.
    Hollingsworth was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.
