  • After falling at Nixa 9-0 on Saturday, the Neosho baseball team got back into the win column on Saturday with a 7-2 victory over Stockton at Roy B. Shaver Stadium.

  • After falling at Nixa 9-0 on Saturday, the Neosho baseball team got back into the win column on Saturday with a 7-2 victory over Stockton at Roy B. Shaver Stadium.
    The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead early before Stockton plated a run to tie it. Neosho quickly plated three more runs to take a 4-1 lead and never looked back.
    Chris Paullus earned the win on the mound after allowed two earned runs on nine hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Bryce Slavens earned the save after working the final 1 2/3 in scoreless relief.
    Trey Turner led the Wildcats with three hits and three runs scored. Jayce Parmley had two hits.
    Before the game the Wildcats inducted Joe Fowler, Ronnie Quintana and Scott Berry into the inaugural class of the Neosho Baseball Hall of Fame.
    Against the Eagles on Thursday, the Wildcats couldn’t avoid the big inning as Nixa scored five in the first and four in the third while pounding out 15 hits.
    Colton Marion had three of the Wildcats’ six hits, while Turner, Brendan Craig and Kody Kelly each added a hit.
    The Wildcats (14-7) travel to Webb City for a 4:30 p.m. tilt on Tuesday.
