  • That first victory of the season found a way to evade Neosho’s tennis team again on Monday when the Wildcats fell to Thomas Jefferson, 9-0, at the NHS tennis courts.
    At singles, Neosho’s Nathan Scribner lost to Frank Cascone, 8-3. Jackson Parks lost to Joseph Scott, 8-3. Dylan Thompson lost to John Burnett, 8-0. Cameron Aguillon-Langley lost to Preston Carpenter, 8-1. Sebastian Henderson lost to Mark Farnham, 8-1. Ben Bridges lost to Levi Vasquez, 8-1.
    At doubles, Scribner-Thompson lost to Scott-Burnett, 8-0. Parks-Aguillon-Langley lost to Cascone-Carpenter, 8-1. Henderson-Bridges lost to Vasquez-Joseph, 8-2.
    The Wildcats were also swept in the JV matches. At doubles, Ian Cooley-Spencer Vansickle lost to J. Cascone-Suri, 6-3. Patric Bumgarner-Dallas Cook lost to Ying-Hershewe, 6-0. Adam Haddock-Jared Burns lost to J. Cascone-Suri, 6-2.
    Neosho (0-9) is at the COC Tournament in Republic on Wednesday before returning home for the regular season duals finale against Monett at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
