  • Two arrested in meth raids

  • Newton County deputies served two search warrants at Granby residences Monday, seizing a meth lab and arresting two people.
    According to Capt. Chris Jennings, chief deputy, at 9:46 a.m. Monday, deputies served search warrants at 18500 and 18506 Reindeer Drive in Granby.
    Sherry Deraleaus, 51, was arrested at 18500 Reindeer Drive and charged with manufacture of a controlled substance. Formal charges are pending.
    “At the ‘500’ address, we located all of the makings of a meth lab,” Jennings said. “The male subject was gone. We anticipate an arrest later on.”
    At 18506 Reindeer Drive, deputies arrested 33-year-old Vernon Quigley on charges of unlawful distribution of ephedrine. A court date for Quigley has not yet been set.
