John W. Clenney, 58 Goodman, passed away July 19, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family after a year long battle with cancer.
He is the son of Judie (Stewart) Hargrave, Goodman and the late Bob Clenney. He was born in Williston Fla., on June 22,1956. He graduated from Neosho High School. He worked for many years at La-Z-Boy in Neosho. He loved playing with the Stray-Cats Softball Team, and watching his St. Louis Cardinals play.
He married his wife, Mary (Shaffer) Clenney, on Sept. 13, 2003.
He has two sons, Sam Bradley and Jason Clenney, both of Goodman. He is also survived by two brothers, Bob Munden and wife Carol, Granby, Dan Hargrave and wife, Mary Ann, Stella; five sisters, DeAnna Valentine, Tampa, Fla., Linda Wasson and husband, Dale, Goodman, Zandra Boyle and, husband Bob, Warner Robins Ga., Paula Herrin and husband, Tony, Oronogo, Becky Bradley, Oronogo; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 3, at the Buffalo Hill conservation park on B hwy near Goodman. Contributions may be made at any Great Southern Bank to the John Clenney account.
