Nancy Brodie, 73, Neosho, won her fight by laying down her physical body and going home to be with the Lord on Aug. 15, 2014.
Nancy was born Jan. 23, 1941, in Anderson, one of five children to Earl and Cora (Cash) Cantrell. She was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. Nancy was a member of The Sheep Shed and her loves were for God and her family. She was an avid Cardinals fan and loved having a good time with her family and friends. All who knew her were truly blessed.
Nance and Frank Brodie were married on Dec. 31, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2007.
Together, they shared three children, Larry Howland and wife, Tammy, LaDonna McDonald and husband, Dennis, and Lora Miller and husband, Jeff; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Howland and wife, Michelle, Tonya Ayres and husband, Tony, Christina Obanion and husband, George, Ethan Reeves, Elizabeth Reeves, Tyller Miller and Derrick Lawson; and seven great- grandchildren, Blake and Jaxson Harrell, Parker and Chase Howland, Ceeli, Cage and Creaden Obanion.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother and friend at heart.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Jeremy Evans will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Wade Sterling, Jeff Mayben, Andy Andrews, Weston Andrews, Rodney Harrell and David Brumback. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Hames, Everett Bussey and Scott Freund.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
