The voters of Newton County have spoken and the results of the November General Election are in.

All 25 Newton County precincts are in and the totals have been received.

In the race for United States Senator between Republican Josh Hawley and Democratic Claire McCaskill, the incumbent, Hawley won in Newton County with 16,545 votes to McCaskill's 4,982.

The race for state auditor goes to Saundra McDowell, R, who received 16,071 votes against Democrat Nicole Galloway with 5,305.

For United States representative to Congress from the 7th District, incumbent and Republican Billy Long wins with 16,815 votes to Democrat Jamie Schoolcraft who received 4,796 votes.

In the three way race for state senator from the 32nd district, Republican Bill White won with 17,105 votes while Democrat Carolyn McGowan received 4,489 votes and Green Party candidate Conon Gillis receive a total of 758 votes.

For state representatives to the Missouri House, in the 159th district, Republican Dirk Deaton received 3,954 votes, winning over Democrat Jerry Sparks who received 836 votes. In the 160th district, Republican Ben Baker won with 10,710 votes against Democrat Angela Thomas who received 3,473 votes. In the 161st district, Lane Roberts, R, won with 2,316 votes over Elizabeth Lundstrum, D, who received 982 votes.

In the sole contested Newton County race for Associate Circuit Judge for Division III, Republican Kevin Selby won with 13, 564 votes over independent Andy Wood who received 8,408 votes.

Statewide totals on the propositions will be reported after all Missouri precincts have reported.
