Among the crowd during the midnight showing of “New Moon” at the Neosho Cinema 6 B&B Theatres was a group of Central Elementary teachers were dressed in black shirts.

The shirts said on the front, “The Twilight saga continues, Do I Dazzle You? Edward dazzles the Central teachers…” On the back of the shirts, “Central sparkles with Edward.”

“We are doing this because we are faithful ‘Twilight’ fans,” said Lea Ann Findley. “We love the books, we loved the first movie, and we have seen it umpteen times, read the books umpteen times and it is just a camaraderie thing at Central Elementary. We have a lot of fun with it.”

Those in attendance Thursday night were: Vondra Miller, Kelly VanSickle, Jennifer Depoe, Angela Rothwell, Carol Chenoweth, Phyllis Collinsworth, Heather Hampton, Lea Ann Findley, Becky Loveland, Trudy Hay, Wendy Briggs and Katarina McCleary (teachers from Central), and Lena Tomlinson from Special Services.

The shirts hold quotes from the famous movie.

The teachers said they really enjoyed reading the books.

“I started reading it and I had all four books and a lot of us here had them read in less than a week,” said Findley. “You could not put them down. We have enjoyed them.”
