Families got a chance to enjoy an indoor carnival and social event Saturday night at Calvary of Neosho.
The church was originally slated to have booths set up at the Summer Social at the Square, but when they heard it was canceled, they had already booked a bounce house for the event. So they set up indoors and invited the community, said ReVa Jackson, children’s pastor at Calvary.
“We set up and have had families in,” Jackson said. “We just wanted to have the opportunity for children to come and parents and have the opportunity to stay inside.”
Hosting the event, Jackson said, also gave the church a chance to connect with people in the community.
Activities from food to a football toss lined the gymnasium. Kids got candy rewards, jumped in the bounce house, tossed bean bags and even the adults got their faces painted – several sporting logos from their favorite sports team.
The church will host another indoor carnival on Oct. 31 for their fall harvest party.
