Volunteer of the year went to the Seneca FFA chapter. It is the second year in a row the group has received the honor. They volunteer around the community from helping with the annual Independence Day celebration, to community improvement projects. Seneca Food Pantry was also honored as a nominee for the award. At a chili lunch earlier in the day, the pantry celebrated the grand opening of their new location on Cherokee Ave.
Longtime Seneca football coach Tom Hodge, now retired, served as entertainment for the evening with a mix of jokes and silly songs like “I Always Did What my Mother Said,” and “I Can’t Carry a Tune in a Bucket.”
