Despite the 0-3 start, the Diamond Wildcats can definitely say they have one of the most opportune defenses in the area.

In the Wildcats’ 30-6 loss to Pierce City, they picked off two passes, one by Tyler Horton and one by Clayton Rolf.
Offensively, Diamond had its most successful game rushing the ball, gaining 196 yards on the ground. Zach Renfro paced the ground attack with 98 yards. Jarren Reinhart gained 86 yards rushing.

The Wildcats’ lone score came in the first quarter via a Horton QB keeper on an option play.

Diamond will host Liberal next Friday at 7 p.m.
