God will not accept second place with anything or anyone. We must, at times, guard our hearts even from good things. Just because something isn’t bad or wrong doesn’t mean it is OK for you to be involved in it. How many of us ask God before we go and do something if we even should?

God will prosper those who will seek Him with their whole heart. The scripture says, “As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.” We cannot do what we think is right in our own sight. We must do what God commands us. God will not exchange His position with another at any time in our lives.
Some people are on God’s side as long as everything goes their way. But changes, trials, temptations, and discouragement will challenge their faith and who they are really looking out for. God will not fail you no matter what you face and no matter how difficult the situation is that you are up against. God understands your weakness and He alone knows how to strengthen you in that place.
God has to have His Son, Jesus, center stage in all we do. He will accept nothing less, and He seeks your praise; and somehow it is in praise that God many times will arise to the occasion in your life just when you need Him if you’ll place Him as No. 1 and live a life of praise and obedience. He wants no other gods before Him, and this is an area that we must keep a constant evaluation of what we are allowing into our lives.
