God expects to hear from His children. If a person doesn’t like to or want to pray to God, then they cannot be a Christian because obedient children talk to their parent. When a child refuses to talk to their parent, they are also saying, “I’m my own person, my own god, and I don’t like you the way you are, therefore I’ll do things myself.” Why do you think the Bible tells us to honor our father and mother? Because if we refuse to get along with them, then we also are refusing to get along with our real Father.

God takes His commandments seriously because of the internal effects and eternal effect it has on people’s lives. God expects relationship from those who profess Christ as Savior and must also as Lord. By this we can be under God’s care and staying daily in His Word and talking with Him about life; we can expect God’s help. Jesus has to be more than just Savior, Jesus has to be Lord.
Now this is where it gets serious. As we enter the end times, the matters of life become much more important. For as the days draw near, so does the importance of our name being located in God’s Book of Life, and we must obey and respect God’s instructions. Repent and be born again to have your name there.
Again, it is the Book of Life. I’m concerned far too many believe things that exempt a person from the Book of Life like un-forgiveness, habitual sin, lies, fornication, adultery, stealing, deceit, gossipers- and even coarse talk, the Bible mentions as well.
The Holy Spirit is our barrier against the onslaught of sin, and the Holy Spirit provides the power we need to serve our purposes for God. The easier and more access the Spirit has, the greater the result will be.
