Why do we get ourselves so caught up in the world and let it rule how we live more so than how we need to be living? Jesus has told His church that it will be victorious. Now Jesus didn’t say that the church wouldn’t be persecuted, that there wouldn’t be trials. But Jesus did say the gates of hell would try to destroy and would attack God’s people. But what else did He say? That the church would prevail.

Satan still tries to destroy God’s people today just as he has tried in the past. Satan uses people of the world to attack the church continually. If God’s people that will choose to accept Jesus as Lord and will put their trust, their faith, in Him and not this world and obey God’s word, and seek His will, these are the people that will survive the attacks.

There are many who believe in God. Yet when tests, decisions and temptations come forward and present themselves, they choose the alternate of what God has for them. They back off, say nothing, and their silence and inactions let sin run on and sin prosper because it is not addressed.

People believe but to know God is to trust God. To know God is to obey God. To know God is to serve God’s interest over your own to rise above fear with faith. There are going to be times when it may seem God is silent. There will be times when you may feel you, too, are alone in the battles of life.

But God does expect His children to act like His children, to respond like His children, to live their lives in front of this world as His children should live. You are not ever alone when you put your faith, you trust, your life, in God’s hands and will follow and obey His word. Regardless of what it may be.
