An estimated $3,730 in tools was stolen in the burglary of a Neosho area sawmill Wednesday or early Thursday.
A Newton County sheriff's deputy was dispatched at 6:32 a.m. to the 8600 block of Gateway Drive when the owner discovered that three chain saw, two power drills, two batteries and other tools had been taken from an unlocked room at the sawmill. The mill closed up about 2:30 Wednesday, and he said workers arriving about 5:30 a.m. could not find a grease gun, and then the other items were discovered missing.
