On behalf of the Neosho Board of Education, Neosho Superintendent Dan Decker, and the Neosho Elementary school faculty and students, the Neosho High School Air Force Junior ROTC would like to invite all area veterans to join them for one or all of several Veterans Appreciation Day Celebrations.
"It is with great pride and sentiment that I declare my appreciation for the commitment and support this event receives from our entire Neosho School District Family," Sergeant Richard Wade, Neosho High School aerospace instructor and retired USAF member said. "Many of us know the sacrifices our military men and women have endured.  There are far too many that cannot forget what they experienced.  Those of us having experienced these sacrifices or remember the stories of them must continue to honor those sacrifices. We also, have the responsibility to pass on the patriotism and memories we have to the next generation."
Thus, the Neosho School District has teamed with the elementary schools, students, and the Missouri 41st AFJROTC program to honor our veterans while educating our youth.
"We call on every veteran in the Four States to honor us with your presence at one or all of the performances," Wade said.
Scheduled performances will be at Goodman Elementary School, currently located within the Neosho Middle School, on Monday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. Members of the Goodman Elementary PTO will serve dinner to veterans and their guests after the program. A program is also scheduled at Benton Elementary beginning at 6:30 p.m. A third program is scheduled at Carver Elementary School on Nov. 8 with the program to begin at 9 a.m. A brunch for veterans will be served after their program.                                                                                                                                                         All veterans are invited to these three events. Other events within the Neosho School District include a Veterans Day program at 9 a.m. at the Neosho Middle School on Tuesday, Nov. 7 and another program at Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. at Central Elementary in Neosho.
The ROTC Traveling Road show will also make other appearances in the area in conjunction with Veteran's Day.
