It's Homecoming Week in Wildcat Nation as students celebrate two Homecomings.
The week kicked off with a pep assembly on Monday morning at Neosho High School.
Activities continue with the basketball homecoming scheduled for today between the Junior Varsity and Varsity games against the Webb City Cardinals. Ceremonies including the crowning of the 2018 basketball homecoming queen will take place around 7-7:30 p.m.
On Thursday, Neosho's top ranked wrestling program will also mark wrestling homecoming. The duel is between Neosho, the Webb City Cardinals, and the McDonald County Mustangs. A wrestling homecoming queen will be crowned. The exact time is unknown but was estimated to be between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Neosho wrestlers earned their fifth straight Class 3 state championship last year, the 7th in the last eight years.
At Neosho High School students are participating in homecoming spirit day events. Monday was 'Make yourself at HOMEcoming" and students wore PJ's to school. Today, students were encouraged to dress in tie-dyed garments, 'Let's Tie Down A Win Against the Cardinal', Wednesday's theme is 'Show Some Character" with students dressing as a favorite movie, TV show, or game character, and on Thursday, the theme will be 'Watch The Wildcats Take Down Webb and get tough wearing favorite sports apparel.
On Friday, students are encouraged to Keep It Classic - Wear Black and Gold.
Team rivalries and school spirit are both in evidence as Neosho High School students mark the basketball and wrestling homecomings all week long!
