Neosho Christian School students are gearing up for the annual World’s Fair, which will start at 6 p.m. Thursday, at the school, 903 W. South St., Neosho.
The public is invited to attend.
"I think we will have about 20-25 countries (represented)," said Dan Lazure, a teacher at the school.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to purchase tickets, walk around and sample the different types of food from the respective country the students have set up.
"We have a lot of European countries, Germany and Switzerland seem to be the most generous on sending things," he said. "It is free to get in, but the food samples are 50-cents per ticket, one sample per ticket."
The event has been going on for a number of years as a fundraiser.
"Originally we done it as an education thing, the kids researched different countries, put their exhibits up, (show the countries' culture," said Lazure. "In the past, we used it (money raise) for field trips, but this year we are going to start using the money for upgrade and upkeep our computers."
The response has been great and according to Lazure, "the students are very excited. It is a fun event."
