A large crowd turned out for the Pond Party at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery on Wednesday. Rod May, hatchery manager, held a slide presentation which featured how the old spring box was removed and replaced with a more modern one. Following the presentation, the group visited the new spring box and the old hatchery building. The water is slowly coming back on line and the staff are doing deep cleaning as the water becomes available in the ponds and raceways. The Friends of the Neosho National Fish Hatchery helped host the pond party. Friends hospitality chairman, Susan Carlsten, and other club members passed out homemade cookies to the visitors. A group of student musicians entertained everyone after the presentation.
