A large crowd gathered Tuesday morning to celebrate Kum & Go’s new location at the intersection of Highway 60 and Kodiak Road in Neosho with a ribbon cutting and Flower Box Welcome.

Several Kum & Go regional management officials were in attendance at the new convenience store and fuel station for the ceremony held by the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce.
Construction for the project took a mere 87 days to complete, and the store officially opened in late August.

“It is really great to be a part of the Neosho community,” said Clint Thompson, district supervisor with Kum & Go. “We hope to offer something different and special that the other stores in this area can’t. We are excited about the future of Neosho.”

Kum & Go now has two locations in Neosho, with the other being at 16140 Highway 59, next to Taco Bell.

Gib Garrow, director of economic development, told the crowd and Kum & Go officials, “On behalf of the city of Neosho, we would like to thank you for making this investment, and believing in our economy.”

Michael Newsome serves as the general manager for the new Neosho Kum & Go location.
Kum & Go is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. It operated 430 stores in 12 states, employs 3,600 associates and is based out of West Des Moines, Iowa.
